I'm New

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm new, what should I expect?

Once you’ve found us at 10:30am on Sunday at the corner of Cheadle and 4th Ave NE (map) in Swift Current, Saskatchewan expect a warm smile at the door and a way for you and your family to connect with others in meaningful ways.

Jesus didn’t care what people looked like on the outside, neither do we. Most people dress casually. Come as you are and you’ll fit right in.

Church starts at 10:30am, but feel free to arrive a few minutes early to meet some of the people that make up our church family. We have a front entrance on 4th Avenue NE where you’ll be greeted with a warm smile.

As for the service, every Sunday we get together to praise God through song, prayer and biblical teaching.

So drop by and check us out!

What do you do for kids?

You love your kids. You want them to discover a love for God while having fun. We get that.

At FGC, our volunteers and teachers are excited to welcome your school-age children and help them to understand and experience how much God loves them. At Kids Church, we want to ensure that your kids have a great time. Each Sunday, children from age 4 to 12 engage the Gospel message through age-appropriate songs, lessons, crafts and small groups.

We’re working to grow our children’s church family and are currently searching for a pastor who will help us grow and improve our current programs.

What should I wear?

Most people dress casually, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

Who is the Lead Pastor?

I have been in ministry for the past 34 years and have been involved in youth ministry, church planting, high school ministry and pastoral ministry.

After graduating from Eston College (FGBI) in 1991, my family and I moved to Ontario to help plant a church in Owen Sound. While ministering in Owen Sound, I joined the staff of Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship and served as a high school youth worker at 11 high schools located across 9 different communities.

In 1995, I was invited to join the pastoral staff of Full Gospel Fellowship in Simcoe, Ontario where I initially served as both the youth and associate pastors. In 1999, I became the Sr. Pastor and served in the community until 2013.

In 2013, I returned to my home province when God called me to lead Swift Current Full Gospel Church as their pastor. I am passionate about the word of God, missions, and the local community. It is my desire to help people discover their God-given gifts. That passion drives me to help those people develop their ministries. Through those ministries, I believe that we can come together as a church that loves and serves our community.
